Traci L Slatton
Film synopsis
"On September 13th, 2024, in the heart of Washington, DC—Pershing Square—a colossal tribute in classic sculpture will be revealed. The National World War I Memorial honors the courageous souls who sacrificed their lives in the name of the United States during the Great War. Master Sculptor Sabin Howard is creating a breathtaking tableau entitled "A Soldier's Journey"" which features 38 larger-than-life figures and brings to life the essence of the war. The sculptural relief measures 58 feet long and 10 feet high.
In a bygone era, this herculean undertaking would have taken a master sculptor 60+ years to create. Sabin and his team have a mere four. Though an extraordinary opportunity for the artist, one cannot help but consider the ramifications upon Howard's personal life.
Enter the realm of "The Sculptor's Wife," a tale that delves into the intimate journey of Howard's significant other. Unravel the intricate tapestry of her experiences as she dons the roles of partner, producer, model, and muse—shedding light on the often-overlooked sacrifices and triumphs that reside in the shadows of artistic greatness."
